Sponsorship Information
Take a look at this video (filmed early 2020) of one of our sponsor children sending a message to his sponsor.
Becoming a sponsor allows you to partner with MPFG in changing the life of a child from the slum areas in the city of Bacolod. You are able to select a child from profiles of children waiting for sponsorship that you would like to support.
For the cost of $300/yr ($25/month), you enable a child to attend school and receive an education up until the end of Year 10. 100% of funds are sent to the Philippines. This money provides school supplies, uniform and shoes with a small amount held by MPFG for emergencies such as health or other crisis within the family.
In 2015 the Philippines Government ruled that in order to receive a high school certificate, students must attend school until the end of Year 12. Cost for "Senior High" (Years 11 & 12) is $540/yr ($45/month).
When students finish Year 12 they may look for work, or desire to continue study at "College" which is equivalent to our Technical Colleges (TAFE), or University. Public colleges also cost $540/yr not including text books or uniforms which the students have to pay for.
MPFG aims to break the cycle of poverty for children so that by learning English and gaining their high school certificate, they have a greater chance to find paid employment. Without this opportunity many children are begging on the streets. Your partnership with us can truly change the lives of these children and their families. MPFG is not currently set up as a charity fund so all payments made are not tax deductible.
