4/6/2023 0 Comments From ruin to rest...You may recall in July 2022 we put out a call for assistance for one of our MPFG families where the two eldest were part of our sponsorship program. In July 2019 the mother passed away from Tuberculosis, leaving the father to raise all five daughters. MPFG workers could see how hard life was for them during previous visits to give them supplies. Life was so difficult for them being on a 63 sq mtrs piece of land, where the roof of their house touched the ground being was the only thing that covers them from the sun and the rain. The family were sleeping directly on the ground with their mat and suffered from floods when there were heavy rainfalls. Workers could imagine how difficult their situation is seeing them without sink to wash their dirty dishes, no table and chairs or toilet to use when they needed it most. They needed to jump on to their neighbors' or relatives' toilets nearby to borrow theirs of which it is sometimes awful to wait patiently for your turn for there is only one toilet to share in the house. Thanks so much to our MPFG donors and faithful volunteers who gave and worked throughout the remainder of 2022 to bring repairs and construction to their dwelling. Euselyn and Jennilyn with their three other siblings and father are very blessed with their roof on now and concrete walls with closed windows and doors, a small bedroom with tile floor, dining and kitchen sink, concrete floor and toilet. The work is not completely done yet as it needs more finance to continue, but at least we are happy to see them enjoy what they have now compared to before. The family are passing on their thanks to those who have generously given finance and hope for the less privileged in our community. I have truly felt the love and care for us through the amazing things shown to us by using amazing people to provide our need. - Euselyn (eldest daughter). The house rebuild (as of January 2023):
